Hanham Fayre

Today I attended Hanham Fayre, and spoke with constituents about their concerns, from protecting the Green belt and fields, to saving Hanham library campaign, and cuts to the local schools.

As a local councillor, I have been involved in a number of similar community campaigns. In Eastville, I supported the Protect Frome Valley group, where we were successful in preventing a negative development on important greenspace. If elected as your member of parliament, I would champion local control over planning nationally. For instance, campaigning for much needed homes to be built on brownfield sites, and working to give more weight to neighbourhood plans.
