Eastville ward is one of the most culturally diverse wards in Bristol, from Lower Eastville, to Stapleton village to the north, Fishponds to the East, Speedwell and Whitehall to the South, with the boundaries being distinctly marked by the M32 corridor and Bristol to Bath Railway path.

Despite only being a 20 minute journey into the city centre, Eastville has some of the most beautiful parks and green spaces. Eastville Park has a wide array of wildlife, and connects along the River Frome to Snuff Mills and Oldbury Court. Rosemary Green has a fascinating history, when it was employed as the burial ground for the Eastville workhouse, now honoured with a memorial to remember those who lived and died there. Eastville also has a number of nature reserves including the Royate Hill wildlife sanctuary and the Coombe Brook valley.

However, the big issues in the ward continue to be poor quality private sector housing, litter and fly-tipping, and access to leisure facilities. There a number of community campaigns working to tackle some of these issues. You can find out more about these community campaigns in the Useful Links section.

If you have an issue you would like to raise please get in touch with your new Councillors Marley Bennett (Cllr.Marley.Bennett@bristol.gov.uk) or Lorraine Frances (Cllr.Lorraine.Francis@bristol.gov.uk)
